SNAP-Ed Connection is excited to announce the release of a new Cooking section, now available on our Web site.
The new section includes pages on Cooking Basics, Cooking with Limited Resources, Special Considerations, Teaching Cooking Skills, and Healthy Low-Cost Recipes. Educators will have access to an array of materials to share with participants, such as healthy ingredient swaps, cooking techniques, and basic cooking skills. Materials are available for new cooks just starting out or experienced chefs that need some help teaching others how to cook! We hope these pages will be helpful to you in your nutrition education efforts and to your participants as well.

Comments on WIC State Plan Requested
Monday, May 21st, 2018WCD (Wichita, Caddo and Delaware Tribes) WIC Program is holding its annual public comment period for WIC from May 21 to July 15, 2018. You are invited to comment on the program and to assist in identifying opportunities to improve services.
WIC is a federally funded nutrition program for income eligible pregnant, breastfeeding and postpartum women, infants and children under the age of five. WCD WIC serves approximately 3,300 clients each month. The program promotes good health and positive food choices by providing nutritious foods, nutrition and breastfeeding education and referrals to program participants.
WCD WIC Program is not planning modifications for fiscal year 2019.
