Breastfeeding Resources

WCD WIC offers breastfeeding education, support, and encouragement.

Our Breastfeeding Peer Counselors are trained to meet the needs of pregnant and breastfeeding participants. They are trained to answer breastfeeding related questions and offer support during every mother’s breastfeeding journey.

WCD WIC also provides manual breast pumps, electric breast pumps, nursing bras, nursing pads, nipple shells and shields, and supplemental nursing systems (SNS) for free to eligible participants.

You may call 1-800-4WCDWIC (492-3942) for further questions or to schedule an appointment.

Manual pumps may be issued to any breastfeeding mother after delivery. Electric breast pumps are only issued if mother is expecting to return to work or school full-time and has already established breastfeeding for at least 30 days.
